Oil Cloth Obsession

I am a big fan of 'oil cloth'.  I found this fabulous fabric at Hancock one day and had to buy it- which then meant I had to figure out something to make with it!  I figured I would make a basic bag that could be used to haul toys, or groceries, or anything else.  But, in true Amy fashion, I found a not-so-basic pattern and ended up making a purse instead.  I like the way it turned out.  But, when (not if, but when!) I make another one,  there are several things I will change about the pattern to make it more 'user friendly.'

The exterior of the purse is oil cloth.  The interior is lined with a fun blue paisley fabric that began as a sheet, but I loved the pattern too much to actually use as a sheet!  The interior has two decent sized pockets.  A fun and functional purple button gives the purse a little extra character!

What do you think?!  Leave a comment!

I looked for an ORANGE button, but couldn't find one.  I do really like the purple one, though!

iPad Cover

First of all, I don't have an iPad.  I really wish I did.  My Mom got one for her birthday, and, being the thoughtful daughter that I am ;) I decided to get creative and make her a case.

Because I don't have one, I got the measurements online and went to work creating the case.  I'm not even sure the iPad will fit in the case.  But, it is the thought that counts, right?!

I thought buying an iPad for myself to 'make sure' the case I was wanting to make for my Mom would fit (as if there isn't a long list of other reasons to get an iPad!).  My husband, however, didn't agree.   Maybe, if I can get a few order for iPad covers, I can finally get one for myself!

Bow Holder

One of the latest creations at HankOrange is a 'bow holder.'  A friend of mine asked me to create a bow holder for her daughter's ever-growing bow collection.  (I am realizing many of my creations seem to begin because a friend asks me to create something or help them 'solve a problem'!)   I had so much fun putting the bow holder together!

Perfect for any little girl who has a collection of bows.  This 'initial' bow holder keeps bows organized in a decorative way!  Makes a great gift.

Check it out on Etsy!

'Initial' Bow Holder $12.50 or 3 for $30
